Meet Amie. Amie has been doing training with us for 8 weeks now, working on strength and lean muscle gain. We asked her what her top 3 highlights are so far. Here they are in her own words:
Since starting my training I have noticed I’m stronger day to day. I no longer strain to pick up heavy boxes at work and can carry my daughter round with ease.
My bum has lifted and I look less saggy around my upper arm area.
Running has become easier. Especially when tackling the countless hills in Yeovil. They used to really hurt, but now with improved leg strength, I can keep a good pace up them.

Meet Phil. Phil has been doing semi-private training with us for 4 weeks now, as well as working with us on nutrition for a while before we could train due to lockdown. We asked him what his top 3 highlights are so far. Here they are in his own words:
Since getting in touch, a realisation that with your support and my dedication, at 39 I CAN make a difference to my weight and the way I look.
You’ve opened my eyes to thinking differently about what I eat and how I move, and the impact that can have
As a keen golfer, I’ve finally made the connection of how being in better shape can improve my golf

Strength Building – I feel better about myself inside and outside and enjoy the feeling of my muscles working.
Me time – It has made me focus on something for me and not just my family or my job.
Confidence in an alien environment – The Fundamental Fitness studio is such a friendly and supportive place with all abilities and no one judges you, we are each treated as individuals.

Meet Ed. Ed has been training with us for a while now so I asked him what his top 3 highlights are so far. Here they are in his own words:
Knowing that I am training effectively, with the correct technique is a huge motivator for me, I wasnt getting things right before!
Mentally I feel clearer and stronger. I can tell if I miss a training session as I feel a little unfocused through the day.
The gains I have made so far have given me more confidence within myself physically.
Seeing my hard work paying off is really satisfying

The first is feeling stronger. Doing a lot of heavy lifting at work, I feel much more capable and reassured I’m using the right muscles to do it properly.
The second is that feeling of accomplishment and buzz of energy after every session. I always walk away feeling good.
The third is you guys… you are both incredibly encouraging and supportive and it really helps keep the motivation up. You are also very patient with my comedic lack of coordination. So thank you.

I can’t believe how strong and resilient my body actually is. This has really helped my confidence.
Helped me really think about the actions and movements I make, aiding my coordination and balance massively

Getting back to training has improved my mental state no end. I am able to plan and control my training and food.
Getting my head right, eating right, and building strength and stamina. Really enjoy the heavy lifts.
Neil pushes me further so I get the absolute maximum out of each session and I finish feeling shattered but buzzing for the next.

Meet Liz. Liz has completed her initial 4 week transformation with Clair in the 7pm ladies only group PT, so we asked her what her top 3 highlights are so far, so here they are in her own words:
I feel stronger – I feel as though I have more stamina and I do not fatigue as quickly as I used to
I’m taking more care over what I eat and the types of foods I have been drawn to – this have given me so much more energy and I’m enjoying new things!
I may not have “lost weight” but I have lost a fair few cm from my starting measurements and I have a lot more of a toned feel and look and am feeling so much better for it.

Meet Andy. Andy has just completed our 8-week transformation package. We asked him what his top 3 highlights from the process. Here they are in his own words:
Strength Building – feel so much stronger all over. Especially my arms, legs and core.
Mobility- Lockdown & my working day has had a major impact on my overall mobility. With FF I have improved my mobility and general freedom of movement
Stamina & Recovery – I feel much better generally with overall fitness and wellbeing. The increased activity has reduced my appetite and desire to eat junk food

We asked Joanne to give us an insight as to how her life has improved since joining Fundamental Fitness. Here is what she had to say:
Life – is better as I’m waking in 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗻 after also having 𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿. I have more 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 when working knowing I’m 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 and can physically do the job.
Energy Levels – have increased and encouraged me to try new sports which I had put off due to pain.
𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 and soon to be looking better!

Being able to work on my strength safely has allowed me to reduce the pain in my knees!
Learning how to lift things properly with my legs has helped me control my back pain.
My strength and mobility have increased loads.

I’ve never felt stronger, my job is very physical but I am finding it easier every day.
Training has made a huge difference to my mental health. My mind is clearer and I am able to focus easier and for longer.
I feel younger somehow. My energy levels have increased and my mobility has improved hugely.

Fitness – after working with Neil I feel fitter and stronger. Neil has trained me to a level where I feel the best I ever have and I’m very happy with the results
Mental Health – mentally I feel better for the regular ongoing exercise Neil provides. This helps me generally and in day-to-day life, reducing stress levels and helping to maintain focus
Health – my general health and condition have improved with Neil’s help and guidance. This has seen results in all aspects of my life

Meet Kylie. Kylie has been doing semi-private training with us for 6 months now so we asked her what her top 3 highlights are so far. Here they are in her own words:
Having exercised all my life, I have finally dropped dress sizes and kept it off! 6 months now.
I have changed my eating habits without starving myself! I can still eat what I want, just not so much of it.
I have stopped mindlessly eating.

Meet Georgie. Georgie has just completed our 8-week 1-2-1 transformation package. We asked her what her top 3 highlights from the process were. Here is what she had to say
Feeling Stronger – I’m feeling stronger than I did and really motivated to push myself to the limit.
Confidence – I’ve avoided exercises like I’m doing now because I’ve always worried about technique, but now because of the coaching and support I have the confidence in myself to try any exercise I’m given.
Mental and Physical changes – I’m noticing changes in myself both mentally and physically, which I hope will enable me to sustain weight loss and muscle tone in the future.
I’m looking forward to joining the semi-private group training sessions and seeing what I can achieve in the next 8 weeks
